Core funding for charities, not-for-profit social enterprises and community interest companies in the UK that are working to support unpaid carers or the rehabilitation of offenders or ex-offenders to help them make a step-change in their development and therefore build increased sustainability for the future.
Grants are available for up to £80,000 over three years with a maximum of £35,000 in year one. The amount requested each year is expected to taper down as applicants develop other sustainable income streams, for example: £35,000 in year one; £25,000 in year two and £15,000 in year three.
This is a highly competitive fund with a success rate in 2016 of 1 in 8 for eligible rehabilitation applicants and 1 in 12 for eligible carers applicants. A total of eight applications (four in each area) were funded in 2016. (The 2017 success rates will be provided when they become available.)
The next deadline for applications is expected to be in April/May 2019 for organisations working with unpaid carers. The exact date will be published in early 2019.
