A small number of grants are available to larger not-for-profit organisations for projects in England, Scotland or Wales that provide a significant benefit to communities across the whole of the Centenary region.
Following a vote by customers in Tesco stores throughout the UK, in July-September and October-December 2019, the project that receives the most votes in the voting region (there are 23 across the country) will receive a grant:
- First place – Up to £25,000.
- Second place – Up to £15,000.
- Third place – Up to £10,000.
Please note: groups are encouraged to apply for the top amount of funding £25,000 with a scaled down budget in case they are awarded one of the lower amounts (£15,000 or £10,000). Groups will only be awarded the amount they apply for even if they come first in the voting.
The funding is for projects that will provide significant community benefit across the whole voting region, or a significant part of it.
Guidance notes and frequently asked questions are available on Groundwork website (https://www.groundwork.org.uk). These should be read before starting the online eligibility quiz which will enable access to the application form.
