Grants are available to support voluntary and community organisations providing vital services to people in Staffordshire and Shropshire with the immediate and unexpected costs created by the coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak.
Three levels of grants are available:
- Up to £1,000 – decisions made and transfer of money to successful applicants within 48 hours.
- £1,000 to £5,000 – decisions within 48 hours, but the transfer of the grant could take up to 72 hours. (A more detailed project plan is required for these grants.)
- More than £5,000 – applicants must call to discuss projects and timescales. (These grants have a more strategic aim and anyone wishing to apply should initially contact the Foundation to discuss their project.)
Applications can be made at any time and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Organisations must be based in, or working for the benefit of people, in Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Shropshire, and Telford and Wrekin:
An online application form can be found on the Community Foundation for Staffordshire’s website for organisations applying for £1,000 or less (https://staffsfoundation.org.uk). All other applicants should contact the Foundation by phone in the first instance (01785 339540).
